Transmission repair in Cutler Bay
Not every transmission problem needs a rebuild. Leaks, failed solenoids, worn seals, a bad sensor or a low fluid level are repairs, and we treat them that way: find the actual fault, write it up, fix that. Cars, pickups and SUVs, at 10715 SW 190th St.

01
What usually brings people in
- A red or brown puddle under the car after it has sat overnight
- Delayed or harsh engagement when shifting into Drive or Reverse
- A check-engine light with a transmission code (P07xx) on the scan
- Shifts that hunt, flare or hang between gears
- A whine or hum that changes with road speed, not engine speed

How a repair goes at our shop
- 01
Diagnose first
Fluid level and condition, stored codes, a road test, and pressure or electrical checks where the symptom calls for it.
- 02
Written estimate
You get the finding and the fix in writing before anything is taken apart. Florida requires it; we would do it anyway.
- 03
Repair the fault
Seals, solenoids, sensors, cooler lines, pan gaskets, valve-body work. Parts you can see, on a bench you can walk up to.
- 04
Road test and hand back
Fluid set to spec, codes cleared, driven, and explained.

Good to know
- If the diagnosis points to internal wear, we say so and quote a rebuild instead of a repair that will not hold.
- Bring the car in rather than describing the noise over the phone; most transmission symptoms need a road test to pin down.
- We work on automatic and manual transmissions, torque converters and differentials, and nothing else.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Can a transmission be repaired without rebuilding it?
Often, yes. Leaks, solenoids, sensors, seals, cooler lines and many valve-body problems are repairs. Internal wear such as burnt clutches or damaged hard parts is a rebuild. The diagnosis tells us which one you have.
Is it safe to drive with a transmission problem?
It depends on the symptom. A small leak with the level topped up is usually fine for a short drive to the shop. Slipping, no reverse, or a burnt smell means stop driving it; every mile adds damage.
Do you repair transmissions on trucks and SUVs?
Yes. Pickups, SUVs and passenger cars, domestic and import.
Will I get a written estimate?
Yes, before any work starts. Our Florida motor vehicle repair registration is MV52365, and the estimate carries it.
