Every rebuild at our shop goes through the same four stages, on the bench in these photos.
Stage 1
As received
The unit comes out and the pump, valve body and input shaft are set on the bench before anything is judged.
Stage 2
Torn down
Drums opened, clutch packs and steels out, every hard part cleaned and measured.
Stage 3
Cleaned, new parts in
Fresh clutches, seals, gaskets and bushings; any worn hard part replaced.
Stage 4
Assembled and road-tested
Converter and drum back together, installed with fresh fluid and a flushed cooler, then driven.
